It’s a little throwaway line that I’ve never quite been able to forget: in Season 2 Episode 9 of Modern Family, husbands Mitch and Cam get into a little squabble about a certain kind of poetry, and their interaction throws poetry’s so-called elitism into question—but not in the way you might expect.
